Default EURO Blaster EA Journal

After I gave up on Megadroid I purchased another EA called EuroBlaster. I will be testing it on an FXDD demo account starting next week. Results will be posted at the end of each week. If it looks good, I'll trade it in my live account.

EuroBlaster trades on the M5 time frame. It has numerous settings where the user can limit the trade hours, lot sizes, money management, TP, SL, Trailing stops, etc. It comes with 3 set files: one aggressive, one conservative, and one undefined.

... till next week

Default Euro Blaster Ver 2

Before I could start my testing, version 2 was released. Version 2 has 3 preset files: Basic (default), conservative and aggressive.

I decided to run the basic set on my live FXDD account. The other 2 sets I ran on demo accounts. The conservative and aggressive presets both ended the week at a net loss. I'm going to drop them from testing. They failed as far as I'm concerned. The basic preset results were much better and are shown below.

Wins..Losses..$Profit....$Drawdown..#OpenTrades
...13......0.....$319.......$295..............3

The 3 trades in draw down were placed early Friday morning before the market went south for the day. I normally avoid trading on Fridays due to heavier profit taking before the weekend but didn't do it this time.... live & learn.

Default EuroBlaster Week#2

This week was a bust. The 3 open orders from last Friday hit stop loss. I sent an email to the seller. His reply was short. He stated that he does not trade this EA on Fridays. I sent a reply asking him why the preset file with the basic settings is set to trade on Fridays. I received no reply.

I have set the EA to not trade on Fridays. We'll see if it can recoup the losses.

Wins..Losses..$Loss....$Drawdown..#OpenTrades
....5.......3.... -$797............$0..............0

Default EuroBlaster Week#4

Results for the week of June 28th. This EA really sucks ... no matter what their website says. I understand wholeheartedly that EAs should be judged on a long term, but when an EA starts off in a huge hole it is very difficult to get confidence that it will dig itself out of the hole. I think I will start looking at building my own EA.

Wins..Losses..$Profit....$Drawdown..#OpenTrades
....0.......0........$0............$653........... ....3

Default EuroBlaster Update

I gave up on EuroBlaster v2 a couple of weeks. Yesterday I received the V3 update. Since I have lost confidence in this EA I will be testing this on a demo account. I may even post the results.
