Default Poll: What is the best forex commercial trading system?

With all the hype and bullshit which is present at the moment in Forex world of amateur traders I wanted to know your ideas about commercial forex trading systems that are available for download with various prices. Please name only the mechanical systems not the robots.
Thank you and have a good trade

There is none, especially in the medium to long term. They just don't work.

Default retail forex systems

Some of the so called "best" systems are not sold in the mainstream internet hype at the $97, $199.99 or whatever. You have to search and research them and then choose what suits your trading style, needs and pocket.

Suggest you look at AI, Neural Network forex systems etc and their hybrids and take your pick of leading edge systems.

Note: Any system that smells of success or is potentially successful in the retail trading arena (that's us) will quickly have its performance destroyed by the mass of punters looking for the Forex Holy Grail. The FX daily movements may be huge but there are only a handful or so of good brokers that can carry and match the retail trades without screwing you and when 20,000+ retail traders start trading the "forex atm machine" all at the same time then the trading system dynamics collapse and everyone starts losing, except of course, the broker.!!

A system is only as good as its uniqueness.

Best to start learning Mql4 and write your own unique code, around some manual strategy.

If I had such a successful (cash cow) system , why do I need to sell it ?

If I was such a good Forex Trader (Ex Trading Floor of Major Banks etc etc) why do I sell training materials and systems?

The old saying "if you can't do it then teach it".

Anyway when George Soros decides to sell just 10 copies of his own software at $50K then I want to be one of them. If he sells 20,000 then he can keep the software.

Just my 10c for your entertainment.

If anyone is interested in learning more about trading by using price action there is a nice little article here.

It looks at an old favourite, head and shoulders formation, exploring it further and showing some interesting aspects.

I am not sure who you are asking this question but here is my opinion.

An EA is an Expert Advisor, sometimes called a Robot.

It is an automatic program.

Most EAs place trades when certain conditions are met.

It then controls the stop losses and take profits eventually closing the position.

In this way the trader does not have to do anything but hope and pray that the robot gets it right.

Manual trading is when the trader watches the charts, perhaps looking at indicators or patterns.

He then decides when conditions are right to enter a trade and when to close it.

In this way the trader has to make all the decisions and hopes and prays that HE gets it right.

(A manual can also mean a book of instructions.)

That's completely true Moondog, choosing is the most crucial part when trying to trade Forex using robots. Nonetheless, I have found a solution for that problem, I have found this website www.forex-robots.com , they do Real Money Accounts test on different Forex Robots for 6 months. That way we can know which robot really works before jumping on it.

Hope it helps

Michael
