Guys, 180 pips is not half bad. Therefore, my advice is to close half your trade now, move Stop Loss to Break Even, and let the market do it's thing.
Came out better than expected, saw an initial spike up of around 40 pips.

Will make a decision later this evening what to do with the second half.

Default Why do you email us with the result

For the GBP/USD trade, I get an email when you are 180 pips in profit. Why do you email me about this after the fact. If you are going to send an email why don't you send it when you make the trade.

By the way, can you give an update on the AUDCAD trade that you did email us about when you entered?

I am short with a stop at 9127

I am wondering if using a forum thread is really the best way to signal trades, and keep users updated about them. No one wants to shift thru reams of forum posts to find out what to do about a trade that someone suggested to them.

Thanks

Default GBP/USD

no decision needed. SL did it for me

opened short @1.63203
closed 1/2 @ 1.61884 for 131 pips profit
moved SL to 1.62203 for other 1/2 of trade which got hit for 100 pips profit.

again thanks to ASH and the rest of the team for making this system available to all.

cheers al.

The reason why I emailed you is because the NEW HOME SALES were coming out and it could adversely affect our trade. Nothing to do with emailing you the "result". Because as you should know, the AshFX System always presents it's results at the candle close, so it's not even a result. Nor was it anything to do with emailing you when the trade is 180pips in profit, it was simply a warning concerning the News Release from the US. And anyway, if you notice, I don't generally email out AshFX trade results. If anything, I email out trade potentialities. If I am taking a trade, it is here on this forum for everyone to see. Many traders on this board can testify to that.

If you were here yesterday evening you would have seen my short entry concerning GBP/USD. Likewise if you read the forum posts concerning AUD/CAD, you would have realised I advised a complete closure before the weekend:

http://forexmoments.com/forums/syste....html#post4286

Many people have asked me to email them every trade entry and every trade closure. It is much easier that I openly proclaim my entries and exits here, on the forum. If I start emailing everyone, on every trade entry and exit, I'll gets hundreds of people emailing me hundreds of questions. Unfortunately I do not have the time nor inclination for such an endeavour. Loads of different people will email me the same question. It makes far more sense that I answer that particular question on a public forum such as this, as opposed to emailing back the same answer to every single questioner. I have no problem with people emailing me questions about forex in general, I answer many on a daily basis. But when there are far more efficient ways to answer specific trade questions, a forum such as this is very useful, for everyone to see.

In addition, it will just lead people to blind following my trades. A forum encourages learning, questioning and education. If people don't want to read the posts, that's fine, it's their choice, but their lack of desire to so is not an incentive for me to email everyone every trade.

As for the AUD/CAD, again, it all harks back to reading the posts on this forum/thread.

by reading thru reams of posts is how im learning to trade this system for myself.
if i dont want to read and learn from the generosity of others then i can join a paid signal service and blindly follow someone else without learning the why and what for.
i for one read the lot from page one and now i can confidently pull the trigger without having to wait for an email or sit around waiting for ASH to get back from holidays or time away.
and i am very thankful to all in here for the help and guidance offered to us newbies.

more pips to all
cheers al.

+10

Thank you Ash from another noob. (I've been working my way through this massive thread as well, mostly there, now practicing/experimenting with the system and various implementations of it!)

Lots of pips to all.
