4 HOUR CHARTS
Hi Guys & girls,
The ashfx is brilliant for daily tarde but i was wondering how the 4 hour does as there is no idea of trend just with the standard template and with the standard indicators namely AC, AO & stochs is that all you guys who trade the 4 hour use or would i need to be looking at other indicators or MOVING AVERAGES which are vitally importnat
Just a question as the 4 hour does good but it would worry me not to use the standard template for 4 hour trades
Any feedback????
Thanks
Paul

Valid Ashfx2 signal or not?
Neo and others new to the system.
Use the Ashfxv2 signalsv4 indicator provided by SWINGMAN in this thread. I have written a small manual explaining the dashboard and indicator too.YOu will NEVER have to ever be concerned whether the next signal is VALID or NOT. The arrows are accurate when all indicators line up. Concentrate on trendlines and S&R.
The key to the sucess to this strategy is learning and applying S&R into your decision to take the trade or not?
There is lots of examples in this thread . Get yourself a nice cuppa, put your legs up and read the earlier posts (RE_READ again if necessary).
Good trading!

Make sure the the SIGNAL CANDLE IS CLOSED.
If you don't, it could disappear / repaint.

[QUOTE=lrathi;3439]Neo and others new to the system.

I second that!
A couple suggestions from a fellow noob!
1) Read the AshFXV2 PDF
2) RE read the AshFXV2 PDF All the rules are there! Don't over complicate!
3) Learn about Support and Resistance levels, THIS IS CRITICAL! (also mentioned in the PDF)
4) Study Fibonacci. It seems mystical, but if you look at it long enough it will start to click.
5) Ash mentions in this post about candle bodies, wicks, etc. After 1, 2, 3, & 4, check out some resources on candlesticks.
RE: all the above. If you have not been there yet, BABYPIPS.COM is a great resource. Busy now, but will try to get back with some more noob sites I'm looking at lately.
6) This system rocks. You've found the right place. Linger awhile.
PS: Yen & Irathi, thanks for being so quick to help!

Thanks guys, I for one do appreciate your patience with those of us who are new. I know sometimes the basic questions can be a bother...especially when those same questions have been answered several times in the thread already. Sorry for my repeated questions, but hopefully soon I'll be able to do some of the answering when other newcomers come along asking the basics.
I did take the BabyPips School course twice and took notes each time (in the last 2 months). After thoroughly studying that I moved on to try and learn more. I'm still a total newcomer, but it has helped me tremendously to create my own Excel RRR/MM calculator to get a good understanding about lot sizes, risk per trade, etc. After being suggested to learn the AshFX Daily V2 system, I came here and have not been to any other forum since. I started out by going through the whole SSS thread and taking notes on all interesting posts. Then I did the same thing for the Ash FX Daily V1 system. Then I started here, with the V2 (I've read the PDF manual many times...and I've added Irathi's other points to it also). This thread is so long (nearly 150 pages), so a few days ago I asked if I should read through the whole thread or start testing the system...I think it was Ash who suggested I test the system and not worry too much about reading each post. But after a few days I decided (with the help of Irathi's suggestion, I think) to go back to the first post and read through the whole thread. I'm glad I have (I'm only on page 40 right now)...but I'm grateful to SwingMan who made the fabulous Ash indicator and also the dashboard which i really want to learn to use. I look forward to setting up email notifications also. I haven't seen Irathi's tutorial on how to use the dashboard yet, but I'm really looking forward to that. I have the EAs posted by 2 members (one seems to be iffy, but I'm sure it may have already been updated).
Well, all that to say a big THANK YOU to those of you who have the patience to take our simple questions!
Best Regards
P.S. Did the Skype room every take off? I use Skype 4 (which doesn't seem to support what they were talking about doing), I may eventually read up on it as I continue through the complete thread, but just thought I'd ask in case there is a chat room in progress already.

Thank you Vanhook and 123mcmc for adding very useful advice to my original post to newcomers.
Neo: thanks for your feedback as a newcomer as may others after you will be encouraged from your post and take the LONG ROAD to success rather than SHORTCUTS. I like the personal honesty factor when I read it.
Regards SKYPE chat: IMHO.... It is more of a social chit chat. Ask your trading questions on this thread.
For future reference.... Remove skype4....reinstall skype 3...... Add the ashfx public link..... then re-install skype4 over skype3.... all public chats will remain at the bottom of your contact list.

BabyPips suggests reading the course FIVE times.
I am an older person and life experience with professional learning has shown human brain takes in 40-50% first time, 60-70% second round, 70-80% third time reading and learning a new concept. Ideal is repeating 3-5 times the same thing for the stuff to go into long term memory. Being involved in the Japanese KUMON training/Suzuki music this is the principle they use. Repeat the same thing 3-5 times.

What is the proper procedure
If the Ash signal for trade entry comes at the closing of the Friday Candle, what should the proper procedure be? I guess by definition, if all S&R is still a go, then entry should be when the market opens on Monday(Sunday here in North America). However I keep reading that one should use much caution when entering any trades until the London open on Monday. That situation happened on 3 charts this weekend (eur/usd(attached)usd/cad & usd/chf) but it is the first time I have had the situation come up.
Any further advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
