Hi THParks and welcome! I’m also a newbie to this forum and have come to realize how helpful it can be just to read through the posts and see what others are saying about forex trading. I personally started with research online and found a broker that fit my personal requirements. I then moved onto a demo account such as the one offered with FxPro and traded there for a few months …I recommend that any beginner looking to get into trading must learn first and practice their skills before investing a penny. Books, free courses, forums, you name it…they all help to learn and better your knowledge…Good Luck!

Welcome to the forum.

The best advice that I can give you now is that you should consider Trend as Your Friend. Always follow the trend. Majority of the forex trading strategies and systems concentrates on identifying trends and that is a right approach. Do not try to go against the trend and depending upon the rising or falling trend, choose to go long or short as appropriate. Resisting the trend will result in losing your money in most cases.
