Default Will the UK join the Euro?

It's possible that Uk leave the British pound for the Euro? I 've read that on italian newspapers.
thanks

If the GBP merges into the EUR, boy will it make any EUR pairing volatile!

I'm no expert but I think that in such dramatic period it's not even something they waste time talking about... I don't think this is realistic until the recession is over and everything becomes more "normal"

In the near term I doubt it. Europe has significant financial problems. The EURO will suffer badly. Why would GB want to join?

just want to agree with tam, dont think it will hapen at all actualy well atleast not in the near future. there is to much drama at the moment and besides, a change would have to be voted by the people in some sort of referendum if i am not wrong. if this is the case, why would anyone vote for there assets to depreciate after all the pound is stronger than the euro and always will be.

Default UK will never join Euro

foreign exchange started in London and billions have been made by banks, investors, countries etc...They would never let GBP merge with the Euro. Too much money to be made and GBP is still the strongest currency in the world.
