With ToS yes, but 4ex NO! I guess they are just whitelabel partners of somebody else. NO MT4 when I checked them, min tradesize 1 minilot - mo micros.

Options is their homeground, there they are second to none (aside of IB). but 4ex?? There are better places.

There has been GREAT improvements in TOS for FOREX. Now they allow micro trades for those of us who are short in the $$. Two different charting platforms. Constant additions for trading and FOREX. Free seminars and live trading.

They have also Added ONDEMAND where you can go back and paper trade at a past time period with the activity that went on during that time.

With thinkorswim you can place orders and manage your account through their TOS software, though their web-based app or with your cell phone. They offer stocks, options, Futures and currency exchanges.

They do a complete re-start of their brokerage server every night between 1-2 am. They do warn you they will be doing it. It lasts about 30 seconds- 1 minute max where you have no connection. You can call the trade desk during that time if you have to adjust an order This is kinda creepy.

Shirley this information is very helpful for traders. It is a nice facility which TOS provides. But there are so many brokers who also provide very nice facilities, so before starting forex trading you can check other broker’s details also, so that you can find a good broker.

thinkorswim has made a big splash in the pool of online stock trading services. This online broker is dedicated to educating clients about investing in the stock market through web resources and even live seminars at a location near you.

With thinkorswim you can place orders and manage your account through their TOS software, though their web-based app or with your cell phone. They offer stocks, options, Futures and currency exchanges.

I used ThinkOrSwim in 2008. I started with options after taking their classes with RedOption. I then started trading Forex with them that August. At the end of the year, when I printed out my info for taxes, it came from GFT's website. Don't know if that is still the case. I liked that I had access to everything all within one platform. I haven't traded with them since the beginning of 2009. Am just looking to get back into the market now, but only Forex. I found that I had more of a knack for Forex than options. Plus I made good money during that short amount of time. I also like that Tom Sosnoff was at all the expos, did live broadcast each week, and answered emails personally. Not sure if it is the same under TD Ameritrade.
